The New Dialogues
New Show Launching December 5th!
“We at the Icon New Media Network are proud to announce the premiere of our brand new Orthodox podcast–The New Dialogues, with host Steven J. McMeans! The New Dialogues is an interview driven show, but also so much more. The show seeks to enter into what Steve has described elsewhere as, the Conversation; that is, an ongoing discussion about issues, people, culture–all the things that we have in common as human beings. But also, by entering into that Conversation, we’ll see how the differences themselves can be glaring. Sometimes in the end, our differences have only to be shown, not solved. To that end, you’ll see regular guest co-hosts talking about Arts and Culture; you’ll see familiar voices telling us about their latest work in speaking and writing; you might even see Dialogue turn into Monologue, as Steve enters into commentary about Religion, Philosophy, or Culture. The New Dialogues will celebrate the wonderful variety of our language, and no matter what, we hope you’ll join in!”

To your question, we had some creative differences on IH, between me on the one hand moving in a different direction (topics more varied, edgy, etc.), and my partner and owner of the station on the other opting for more traditional fare.
I kept moving and have now found my direction, God willing. May God bless all that my former associates do in the future! And again, your prayers for the new show, and everyone at Icon!
