The New Dialogues

Dumbledore is Gay? Who’d a Thunk?

The New Dialogues Orthodox Podcast:

Episode Title: Dumbledore is Gay? Who’d a Thunk?

Show Host: Steven J. McMeans

On October, 19, 2007, J.K. Rowling, the author of the mega-popular Harry Potter book and movie series, announced at New York’s Carnegie Hall, that—”I always thought of Dumbledore as gay”. In this episode of The New Dialogues, Steve talks to the Hogwarts Professor himself, John Granger (www.hogwartsprofessor.com) about this announcement. Join Steve and John as they explore this recent revelation. Is this the end of the argument that Rowling is essentially writing Christian Literature in the tradition of Dickens, Austen, Lewis, and Tolkein? Be sure to leave your comments after you listen to the show. Let’s talk again!

This should work as a temporary patch to the correct feed is working.

  9. Steven,
I love this! Great listening while I do dishes!

John Granger has such a rational insight into the whole Harry Potter phenomenom - insightful and thoughtful and calm! He’s great…I can’t wait to listen to your “Way of Communion” interview with him.

Your format for the New Dialogues is great (and “Soul Shakedown Party” is awesome, by the way!) God bless you and keep up the good work!

p.s. Last minute Christmas shopping tip: go to www.stromanosrecords.com. It’s my brother (Fr. Peter Jon Gillquist’s) website. I forwarded this podcast link to him.
