Gregorian Chant Christmas: Generation Orthodox Podcast

Generation Orthodox

Title: The Christmas Show & Bad Gregorian Chant Generation Orthodox Podcast, The Future of Christianity in America. This week: It’s a sparse crowd as many of the Generation Orthodox podcasters are away for the holiday season. Jake, Calee and Marina talk about the Nativity feast (Christmas!) and what they’ve been up to. Hint, hint: be nice to retail employees. Frank Schaeffer’s new book gets a mention as it is making the reformed Christians very upset with the idea his parents were human. Some musical notes:We wanted to share with you our favorite Christmas music so stick around at the end of the podcast. We’re sure you want to hear “Feliz Navidad” in Gregorian Chant.

  1. Boy, that music was GREAT! (sarcasm)

  2. Just a comment on your comment about Frank Schaffer’s new book, Crazy For God. I think the reason it is making people upset isn’t so much that it portrays the Schaeffers as being merely “human” (as your comment alleges), but rather for being “crazy”, and by implication that all serious, religious people are hypocritical and “crazy”! The question I have asked rhetorically when reading the book is, “why write it?” To what benefit is it other than $$ to essentially “out” your dead parents for being “nutty” and “asbusive”, in what essentially is a religious version of “mommie Dearest”! The scandal of the book to my POV isn’t his parents or the critics but Frankie boy Schaeffer.
